Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for bridal stylings, guest stylings, stylings for shoots and related services between Jasmin Werner, QUERSCHNITT Haare & Make-up (hereinafter “QUERSCHNITT”), and her clients. Deviating agreements apply only if they have been made in writing; email is sufficient.

2. Offer and conclusion of the contract

(1) After your inquiry, you will receive a personal offer from QUERSCHNITT by email.

(2) The offer is valid for 7 days. If you accept it in writing within this period, you will receive the contract.

(3) Your date is only reserved with binding effect once QUERSCHNITT has received the signed contract and the deposit (Anzahlung). Until then, the date may be given to someone else.

3. Services

(1) The type and scope of the services are set out in the offer and the contract.

(2) Guest stylings can only be booked in combination with a bridal styling.

(3) Jasmin Werner does the bridal styling personally. Section 7 governs what applies if she is unable to attend.

(4) The trial styling (Probestyling) takes place at the salon in Baden. For destination weddings and for clients who live more than about three hours’ drive from Baden, we start with a consultation by video call. The time and place of the trial styling are arranged individually, usually shortly before the wedding. If the trial styling takes longer than agreed, the additional time is charged according to the current price list.

(5) The time on site included in the package and any additional hours booked begin as soon as all booked stylings have been completed.

4. Prices, mileage and travel expenses

(1) The prices stated in the offer apply. All prices are in euros and include statutory VAT (Umsatzsteuer).

(2) If the styling location is more than 10 km from Baden, mileage (Fahrtkosten) is charged from the first kilometer for the outward and return journey on the fastest route according to the current price list, plus any parking fees.

(3) If the travel time from Baden is more than three hours, QUERSCHNITT arrives the day before and stays overnight on site. These costs are part of the personal offer.

(4) Section 9 also applies to destination weddings.

5. Deposit and payment

(1) Within 7 days of receiving the contract, a deposit (Anzahlung) must be paid: €100 for weddings in Austria, 50% of the total amount for destination weddings and shoots.

(2) The deposit is credited toward the total amount.

(3) If the deposit is not received on time, the date is not reserved.

(4) For weddings in Austria, the remaining balance is payable in cash on the wedding day. For destination weddings and shoots, the total amount must be paid in full no later than 7 days before the date.

6. Cancellation by the client

(1) A cancellation (Rücktritt) must be declared in writing; email is sufficient.

(2) If you cancel more than 6 months before the date, QUERSCHNITT retains

• for weddings in Austria, the deposit of €100 as a processing fee (Bearbeitungsgebühr),
• for shoots, a processing fee of €100,
• for destination weddings, a processing fee of €250 as well as costs already incurred that cannot be refunded, e.g. for flights already booked.

The remaining part of the deposit will be refunded.

(3) If you cancel 6 months or less before the date, the agreed total amount is payable.

7. If QUERSCHNITT is unable to attend

(1) If Jasmin Werner cannot keep an appointment for an important reason, e.g. due to illness or an accident, QUERSCHNITT will inform you without delay and will make every effort to arrange an equivalent replacement (Vertretung).

(2) If no replacement is possible or you decline it, you will receive a refund of all payments already made.

(3) There are no further claims, except in cases of intent or gross negligence (Vorsatz oder grobe Fahrlässigkeit).

8. Your cooperation

(1) So that your styling turns out well and lasts, please follow the preparation tips you receive with the Bridal Guide, in particular freshly washed, completely dry hair without any care or styling products.

(2) Please let QUERSCHNITT know about any allergies, intolerances and skin particularities no later than at the trial styling.

(3) For the styling, please provide a quiet room with sufficient light, a table, seating and power outlets.

(4) Delays for which QUERSCHNITT is not responsible may mean that stylings are shorter. If additional time is needed as a result, it is charged according to the current price list.

(5) If these instructions are not followed, QUERSCHNITT can only be responsible to a limited extent for the result and how long it lasts.

(6) During the on-site appointment, please provide drinks for QUERSCHNITT; for appointments lasting several hours and for destination weddings, please also provide meals.

9. Destination weddings

(1) QUERSCHNITT arrives on the day before the wedding.

(2) QUERSCHNITT books the flight. The costs are charged according to the receipt.

(3) You book and pay for QUERSCHNITT’s accommodation. It must be appropriate and no more than about ten minutes from the venue.

(4) Travel days are charged according to the offer.

(5) The trial styling takes place as described in Section 3.

(6) If travel becomes impossible due to circumstances for which QUERSCHNITT is not responsible, QUERSCHNITT will make every effort to find another way to get there. Any additional costs for this are charged after consultation with you. If travel is not possible, you will receive a refund of all payments made, less costs already incurred that cannot be refunded.

10. Shoots

(1) No trial styling is planned for shoots. We will discuss your look in advance.

(2) The styling usually takes place at your hotel or at an agreed place with sufficient space, light and power. At the shoot location itself, your look is only touched up.

(3) Accompanying you during the shoot is only part of the service if it was agreed in the offer.

11. Extension rental

A separate rental agreement (Leihvertrag) applies to the rental of extensions.

12. Photos

(1) At the trial styling, you will receive photos of your look for your personal use.

(2) QUERSCHNITT uses photos of you or your styling, e.g. for the website or social media, only with your express consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.

13. Liability

(1) QUERSCHNITT is only liable for damages in cases of intent or gross negligence. This does not apply to personal injury.

(2) QUERSCHNITT is not liable for allergic reactions if known allergies or intolerances were not communicated in accordance with Section 8.

14. Data protection

Information on how your data is processed can be found in our privacy policy.

15. Final provisions

(1) Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (UN-Kaufrecht). For consumers (Verbraucher:innen), mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which they have their habitual residence remain unaffected.

(2) For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction (gesetzlicher Gerichtsstand) applies.

(3) Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
