Privacy Policy

This is a translation. The German version of this privacy policy is authoritative.

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). In this privacy policy we inform you which data we process when you visit our website, for what purpose and on what legal basis.

Hosting

Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you visit the website, information that your browser transmits is automatically stored in so-called server log files. In particular, this includes:

  • IP address
  • date and time of access
  • page or file accessed
  • previously visited page (referrer)
  • browser and operating system

This data is technically necessary to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security and to detect misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The server log files are stored for a limited period and then deleted.

Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. The transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR) or on the basis of standard contractual clauses of the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR).

Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details (e.g. name, email address, content of the message) in order to answer your inquiry. The legal basis is the implementation of pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our mailbox (querschnitt-bridal.at) is operated by World4You Internet Services GmbH (Austria). We store your message for as long as is necessary to process your inquiry, and beyond that only insofar as statutory retention obligations exist.

Inquiry form

If you contact us via the inquiry form, we process your details (e.g. name, email address, phone number, wedding or shoot date, location, type of inquiry, preferred package, number of additional people, message and whether you would like a video call). The details are processed via a Netlify Function (see the section “Hosting”) and forwarded by email to our mailbox via the Brevo service (Sendinblue GmbH, Germany). We also send you a confirmation with your details via Brevo to the email address you provided. The details are not stored on the server. Brevo processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). For the transfer to the USA, the section “Hosting” applies.

We use the details to answer your inquiry and to prepare an offer for you. The legal basis is the implementation of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We store the details for as long as is necessary to process your inquiry; if a contract is concluded, the statutory retention periods apply. Brevo deletes its sending logs after one month.

Availability check

On our website you can check whether your wedding date is still available. Only the date you enter is transmitted to a Netlify Function, which compares it on the server side with a Google spreadsheet (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland). No names or contact details are transmitted; visitors' IP addresses are not passed on to Google. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): only a date is requested, and nothing is stored.

Date in the page address

If you click “Inquire now” after the availability check, the date is passed to the inquiry page via the page address (e.g. /en/inquiry/?datum=…). It may therefore appear in the hosting provider's server log files (see the section “Hosting”).

Video calls

On request, we hold introductory calls via Zoom (Zoom Communications, Inc., USA) or WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Ireland). Using them is voluntary; alternatively, a conversation by phone or email is possible. During a video call, the providers process the data required for the call (e.g. name, phone number or email address, as well as image and sound). Data may be transferred to the USA in the process; this takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is the implementation of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The privacy policies of the respective providers apply to the processing by the providers.

Audio greeting

On some pages you can play a short audio greeting. The audio file is loaded from our own server, and only when you start playback. No third-party providers are involved.

Cookies

The website does not use any tracking, statistics or advertising cookies.

Fonts

The fonts used on this website are embedded locally, i.e. stored directly on our server. When you visit the website, no connection is established to Google or other font providers.

External links

Our website contains links to external services, for example to Instagram, Google Maps, the online booking of our salon (Phorest), quer-schnitt.at, querschnitt-academy.com and the websites of the photographers. These are simple links, not embedded content. Data is only transferred to the respective providers when users click the link. The privacy policies of the respective providers apply to the processing on these pages.

No analytics tools, no embeds

We do not use any analytics tools and no tracking. Content from social networks such as Instagram is not embedded on our website.

In principle, you have the following rights:

  • access to the data we process (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

To exercise your rights, please write to us at office@querschnitt-bridal.at.
