Venue

The venue

Hotel Sacher sits directly across from the Vienna State Opera and has welcomed guests from all over the world since 1876. For Yukiko and Toshiki from Japan, it was the starting point for their after-wedding shoot in September 2026. It's also a place that left a deep impression on me: the suite is beautiful, and as you walk the hallways, you can feel the stories behind every door.

Styling

Styling in the suite

We did the styling in the suite's bathroom – calm and completely private – before the couple stepped in front of the camera. The first photos were taken right in the suite and downstairs in the hotel's red room. Then we headed outside: around the Sacher, to the State Opera and into the Kunsthistorisches Museum.

Planning

Good to know

For a shoot at Vienna's most famous spots, it's worth starting very early. At the Sacher, that's no problem: even at four in the morning, the staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, and the concierge even spoke Japanese with the groom.
