Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial: What to Expect and What to Bring
Your trial is where we find your bridal hair and makeup together – about two to three months before the wedding, with plenty of time. Here's how the appointment works and how to prepare, based on many weddings in Vienna and Lower Austria.

Why have a trial?
At your trial, we create the look that suits you, your dress and your venue. That way, you already know how you'll look on the day, and you can enjoy a calm wedding morning.
For tips on planning that morning, read my article on your wedding morning timeline.
When to schedule it
Ideally about two to three months before your wedding, once your dress is chosen. Your dress, venue, color palette, date and dream look should all come together as one.
That's why: As long as your dress isn't decided, we hold off on the trial.
How your trial works
Your trial takes place in a separate, private room at my salon in Baden. We take up to 2.5 hours, so nothing feels rushed. At the end, you'll take home photos of your finished look.
To get your hair ready for the appointment, read how to prep your hair for your wedding day.
What to bring
To make the most of our time together, please bring:
Inspiration photos. Looks you love – and, just as important, looks you don't.
Everyday photos. Pictures that show how you usually wear your makeup.
Dress, venue and colors. Photos of your dress, details about your venue and colors, plus your veil and hair accessories.
If you have sensitivities or allergies: products that work well for your skin, such as your day cream.
My honest tip: real photos, not AI images
Bring real photos rather than AI-generated inspiration. AI images often set unrealistic expectations, while real photos show what's actually possible with real hair and real skin.
Bringing someone along
You're welcome to bring one person you trust. It's best not to bring more, so we can focus fully on you and your look.
If you're traveling from farther away
If you live farther away, we start with a consultation by video call. We then arrange the time and place of your trial individually.
